After winning the IDSF European Latin Championships which took place in Spain on Saturday, the 3rd May 2008, Maurizio Vescovo & Melinda Törökgyörgy announced that they turn professional. They represent Hungary for the last 9 years. This was their first victory at the European Championships. However, they are the reigning British Open, International, IDSF World Latin champions, winners of the IDSF European Cup Latin, IDSF World Cup Latin and of course the Hungarian National champions many times over. After being crowned as the European champions, Maurizio and Melinda danced the Paso Doble as a sign of respect to the hosting country, Spain. This honour dance can be seen at the DancesportInfo video gallery for the competition.
