Marina Zykova dies tragically in a car accident

We have been informed that a young, talented dancer Marina Zykova passed away tragically on her way back home on the 8th Apr 2012. She was returning home to Moscow from Greece Open Championships where, only one day earlier, she and her partner Dmitry Marchenko got the 2nd place at the WDSF International Open Latin competition. The tragic accident happened on the road from the airport when a car Marina and her mother Olga was in (Mercedes) had a head-on collision with another car (Nissan). Marina died on the spot, while her mother died of multiple injuries later in the hospital. According to the Russian agency LifeNews the accident was caused by Nissan which swerved into the opposite incoming traffic lane. More information appears on the Russian site dancesport.ru.
